Trout Pool, a 4886 ton cargo steamer, was built in 1927 by W Gray
and Co. She was hit by a mine in Belfast Lough on 20th July 1940 while
en route to Glasgow with a cargo of grain. Trout Pool lies 20 minutes
out from Bangor at a depth of about 15m and is broken up. This site
can be silty. Good buoyancy control is required. |
